After the ceremony

Graduation Party Planning in Dallas, TX

Festa plans graduation celebrations in the Dallas–Fort Worth area: the party after the ceremony, a family lunch, or a gathering for more than one graduate. School schedules set the date. The party plan has to work around them.

Themes, decorations, venues, and the school calendar

Graduation weekends in Dallas, Fort Worth, and nearby campuses stack ceremonies, photos, and family meals into a few hours. A graduation party planner helps the hosts choose a start time that does not collide with the ceremony, a place that can hold the real guest count, and decorations that celebrate the graduate without taking over the house for a week of setup.

High school and college celebrations can both be planned. The right length and the right activities depend on the graduate's age and on who else is invited.

What to line up

  • The ceremony time and the earliest the graduate can arrive at the party.
  • A venue or a home plan, including rain cover for a yard party.
  • Food that can wait if photos run long.
  • Decoration ideas tied to school colors or a simpler table, if you want styling help.
  • A short program only if the family wants remarks. Many parties do not.

What's Included in Event Planning?

Graduation planning may include a schedule built around the ceremony, venue questions, decor direction, and vendor coordination. Caps, gowns, school tickets, and official photos are the school's process, not Festa's. Event-day help is included only if the quote lists it.

What May Be Arranged Separately?

  • A restaurant, hall, or tent.
  • Catering and cake.
  • Rentals and school-color decor.
  • A photographer for the party, separate from campus photos.
  • Printed boards or a display of photos supplied by the family.

How Event Pricing Works

The estimate depends on how many graduates are being honored, the guest count, whether the party is at home, and how tight the gap is between the ceremony and the first guest. May and December dates in the Metroplex are busy. Festa does not publish a graduation package price.

Send the school date as soon as you know it, even if the party location is still open.

Scheduling around the ceremony

Build a buffer after the ceremony before guests are told to arrive. Share campus parking limits with out-of-town family. If several households are hosting in one weekend, say which party Festa is being asked to plan.

The planning path is explained on Our Process. A party that is really a family dinner may also fit private party planning.

Graduation party questions

Can you plan around a ceremony time that might change?

Yes. Use the school's current time and tell Festa if it is still tentative. The guest arrival can stay flexible until the time is confirmed.

Do you decorate in school colors?

If you want that, it can be part of the styling direction. It is not required. Some families prefer a plain dinner with one display of photos.

Can two graduates share one party?

Yes. The quote should note both names, both schools if they differ, and whether the ceremonies overlap.

Is a backyard party realistic in May?

Often, with a weather backup. North Texas storms are a planning item, not a surprise to leave until the morning of the party.

Send the ceremony date first.

Festa will ask about the gap between the ceremony and the party, and about how many people you expect.
